Top 7 Tops to guarding against the cold season

1. Dress warmly to maintain your body temperature, layering is best and be sure to wear gloves and thick socks to prevent frost bite and chilblains.
2. Shower more frequently; hot baths can cause the joints to stiffen
3. Keep moving letting your circulation flow and keep limbs fluid
4. Avoid drafts, cover up knees and shoulders
5. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and body building foods such as rice, pasta and meat and poultry.
6. Drink plenty of liquids although avoid too much caffeine and alcohol as they are dehydrating and cause your body to lose heat faster
7. Protect your skin with suncream; you can still be burnt in the winter sun and particularly if you are going on that exciting ski trip!
